stop look listen 2011 - a series of interventions at Lincoln Central Railway Station commissioned by Lincoln Art Programme and part of the Trivia of Eccentric England season commissioning artists to develop new work in sites across Lincolnshire. The Railway Waltz was originally performed by a military band, the 3rd Irish Dragoon Guards, to celebrate the opening of Lincoln Central Station in 1846. The Beevor Band is one of the last remaining Lincoln based brass bands associated with an industrial heritage. A Lincoln-based railway enthusiast - found on YouTube - films his journey from Lincoln to Nottingham and is screened in the waiting room on Platform 3.
